Kensei weapon question

I'm a little confused about the Kensei features. Say I am a Kensei and choose Long Sword as my weapon; does Kensei Focus give me +1 hit with all Long Swords or just my Long Sword?

Kensei mastery is a little strange also. At 16th level, if I pick up a javelin and toss it, I now lose my Kensei Focus (+1 hit) and Kensei Mastery (+4 damage) until I rest - I'm free to use my javelin at 15th level but at 16th level I get messed up and need to re-focus. Am I interpreting this feature correctly?

Kensei focus is for your weapon only.

If the javelin is not your Kensei focus weapon then yes you lose focus and mastery untill you reattune. If the javelin is your focus then you will not lose your focus and mastery.

I rule that its for all longswords, not just yours since the next sentence goes on to say that if you use another weapon "type," not another weapon period. They make the distinction of type.
