KenzerCo grab bags are back!

Well, we're still a couple of weeks or so away from moving into our new office - a converted liquor store that we refurbished from the ground up with the sweat of our own brows. Fortunately, it's right next to a bar. :)

Unfortunately, after a rather disappointing visit from the local fire marshall, it turns out we have to make some warehouse aisles wider, and so lose a lot of shelf space. So, to get rid of some product, we're offering special $25 grab bags, $50 grab bags and $100 grab bags! (for a limited time)

Each grab bag will contain a random assortment of various Kenzer & Company products and is guaranteed to contain products of at least double the retail value of the bag. So $25 grab bags will contain at least $50 in retail value worth of KenzerCo product, $50 grab bags will contain at least $100 in retail value worth of KenzerCo product, and $100 grab bags will contain at least $250 in retail value worth of KenzerCo product. In addition, each $100 grab bag and a random assortment of lesser-priced bags will contain something random from KenzerCo.

Full details, including a list of some special rare items, are on the Grab Bags page.

FAQ:

Q: Will every grab bag contain a special collector item?
A: No. A random selection of them will be packed with special collector items.

Q: Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of getting a bag with a special collector item?
A: Yes. Purchase a $100 grab bag, as otherwise even our packing gnomes don't know which bags are packed with special items and which ones are not.

Q: Is there a limit to how many bags I can purchase?
A: No.

Q: Can I contact Kenzer & Company and request specific products or product lines in my bag?
A: No.

Q: Will there be any damaged product in the bags?
A: There may be a small number of items that have minor damage or "shelf wear." None of the products are grossly damaged and the overwhelming majority are as good or better as you can buy them off your game store shelf.

Q: How long will these bags be sold?
A: My understanding is for 2-6 weeks maximum. The end date will either be February 13th 2005 or February 28th 2005, barring any changes.

Q: How do I purchase some bags?
A: You can order from our online web store, by calling in your order to us or by mailing in a check or money order. Our phone number and address are both listed on upper left corner of this page. Note: Please call before sending in a check or money order to check the shipping and handling cost of your order. Failure to do so will lead to a delay in your order, which could lead to a sell out of the bags before your order is processed.

I think if it were organized into, say a "Hackmaster," "KotDT," or "Kalamar" grab bag, it may be worth it for me, but there's just not enough info for me to be interested.

Good luck, though!

Even if it would be worth sending it to Germany

Yep, I'd jump on this for a Hacmaster only bag, otherwise I'm not interested. Don't take this the wrong way, I think the Kalamar stuff rocks, but I rarely buy D20 stuff any more. I have shelves full of it and it's not much use in my C&C game.

I gotta agree with those who say they would prefer line-specific grab bags. Mostly I am just letting you know this for reference, as I already have a good bit of Kalamar stuff, and probably would not order any of the other lines.

For instance, I used the Bastion $5 sale as sort of an Oathbound grab back. I had heard about the setting but had none of the books, so I could safely order a few that looked intesting, and now I am hooked. If I were new to Kalamar I might do this too.

If I had ordered multiple grab bags would the shipping have been cheaper over all, or is it $12.00/$100.00 Grab Bag, irregardless?

Add my voice to the chorus singing the virtues of line specific grab bags....although I grudgingly concede that would miss half the point.

I'm GUESSING that the shipping would be about the same, due to the weight. If you're serious about getting multiple ones, you should email orders@kenzerco.com - I really have no firm answer. :\
