Khelben and his Moonstars

Does anyone have any information on the split between the Harpers and Khelben and his ex-Harper organization known as the Moonstars?

As far as I know, the information on that can be found in Cloak and Dagger, one of, if not the very last, 2E products for the Forgotten Realms.

While I've not heard of the Moonstars at all, the way I understood it, Khelben split with the Harpers when they condemned his actions in giving Fzoul Chembryl the fabled Scepter of the Sorcerer Kings in exchange for a pledge that the Zhentarim would stay away from the entire region around Waterdeep for the next ten years, iirc.

The only place (that I know of) that the Moonstars are mentioned is in Cloak and Dagger. There is a great deal of information in that product, detailing members, goals, and their beginnings.

Basically Khelben believes the Harpers have become mired in their own political agendas... he has a very clear vision of how he needs his organization to function... and the Harpers just weren't fitting into that vision.

The organization, unlike the Harpers, is very secret and very difficult to enter. Although adventurers might be working for them and furthering their goals without knowing it. Its a great way to work an adventuring group into the organization without them really knowing...
