My name is Jonathan Oberto, a founder and game designer at Promethean games Inc. We recently launched a Kickstarter for our new game, Enter The Arena. Enter The Arena is a fast paced, strategy card game where a combination of strength, wits, and cunning are necessary for survival and to achieve victory in the arena! The game is designed for 2-4 players, and a full game can be played in 15-30 minutes. We designed Enter The Arena to be a quick and decisive card game that can be played while waiting for friends to arrive on game day, during parties, or whenever you have some friends around for a few minutes.

Enter The Arena is not just a standard "take that" card game. Enter The Arena allows players to win in two distinct ways. The first option is by defeating all the other players and being the last gladiator standing. The second option is to win the favor of the crowd by gaining the target number of Style points!

Timing is very important, hand management is a must, and risk management is crucial to survival. This is not just a game about kicking butt. There is a need for subtly and finesse. You could beat your opponent down, but the faster road to victory lies in simply being the smarter fighter, not the deadliest.

Excellent stuff and a surprisingly deep level of thought is needed at times to win. I like games like this that seem small and simplistic but then quickly teach you that looks can be deceiving.
