If you go to amazon.com, and check out the "4th edition" books, you'll see a few things.
Here's how I stumbled across some info:
first, search D&D 4th, which gave me this:

then, I clicked on "Player's Handbook: A 4th Edition Core Rulebook (D&D Core Rulebook) (Hardcover)":

Then, I clicked on "by Wizards RPG Team (Author)", listed directly under the title, which lead me to this:

Player's Handbook - Deluxe Edition: A 4th Edition Core Rulebook (D&D Core Rulebook) by Wizards RPG Team (Hardcover - Oct 21, 2008), which is listed as a 75 dollar book, marked down to a little over 40 through amazon:
