Kingmaker in the Scarred Lands

I'm planning to run Kingmaker some time in the near future, and I've been given some though to setting it in the Scarred Lands. In some ways, I think the exploration/civilizing dimension of the campaign lends itself quite well to the post-apocalyptic feel of SL, but I'm wondering what others think.

1) Is this a doable idea?
2) What elements of KM would need to be changed to fit well in the SL?
3) Where should it be set? Who should the "powers behind the scenes" be?
4) How would you handle the Gods/Titans/Titanspawn dimensions of SL play in the context of Kingmaker?

What am I forgetting here? Is this too hard a nut to crack? Or is it actually a relatively doable campaign setting for this set of adventures? Thanks for any feedback!

You would probably need a new map, considering that the one provided will not really fit anywhere in the Scarred Lands. It would have to be on Ghelspad as that is the only temperate continent.

Doable, bit of work though.

Easy peasy. You'll need to do some homework (Ghelspad Hardcover recommended) and remember to twist creatures a bit - Golarion's a fairy tale compared to darker corners of Ghelspad.

Possible locations:

1. Badlands north of King Virduk's Hegemony, with Mormo's Womb playing the role of magic castle portal.

2. Alien- and proud- and hag- infested regions north of Mithril. Blood Monsoons will factor heavily into campaign development.

3. East of Darrakeene.

4. North of Vesh.

5. Northern reaches of Ganjus forest.

The twists:

1. Main antagonists are corrupted fae and cannibal druids.

2. The First World is actually a dream plane born of feverish nightmares of defeated titan, probably Mormo.

3. The main villain is an ex-druid locked into vicious neverending cycle of reincarnation. She is unkillable hag which constantly ages, dies, return to life and then ages to death in a course of months.

I'm running my own campaign in a Frostburn world (the campaign is very much modeled after the excellent Age of Ice mod for Civilization IV), and it's been fun so far. I made my own hex map and am using Jon Brazer Enterprises' Book of the River Nations -- which I highly recommend!
