World of Kulan DM
Ok, anyone who has read any of my story hours or talked to me online knows I've been going through bad pain issues for quite some time now.
It all goes back to the car accident I had roughly 5 years ago, as well as other severe injuries prior to that and after it.
Life has been up and down the last six months. I'm receiving finacial assistance right now, so at least I'm able to pay my rent and eat regularly. So that's a positive.
However, I've had two injuries in the last week. First, I got hit in the neck by a dog's chew toy. (Imagine a large, rubber caltrop.) Second, this last Saturday, I hurt myself while helping getting a friends truck unstuck from some nasty ice ruts in a backalley. So those are negatives.
In both cases, the doctors I've seen say that there doesn't appear to be any severe/permanent damage. Plus, I am going to physiotherapy every week, which is helping with overal pain issues. Thus, more postives.
Also, I've just received orthotic inserts for my feet so now I am able to get around without having to wear an ankle brace. It has cut down on the pain in my lower body, especially my knees and and feet. Thus, even more postivies.
The only major personal negative from the recent injuries is that I'll not be updating my Gods of Harqual or World of Kulan story hour threads for the next week or so. (For Realmsian Dragonstar fans, no updates at all for the near future. Sorry people.)
I'm going to be reading more over the next week or so includng some new books I won as part of MEGs "Happy Holidays" giveaway. (Thanks once again to Hal the Pantless.)
Of course, I will still be around, mainly in lurker mode. (Can you say story hour addict!) If the latest injury heals quickly then I'll be back to posting again in no time.)
