* Headbang if intelligent +2 = 1 modifier.

:D

The Open Minded feat grants you 5 extra skill points.

Also, there is a magic tome in the MiC that grants a bonus to knowledge checks...

For the sheer number skill points to put into Knowledge skills, a bard is actually better than a wizard if you want to max out Knowledge.

If you have Dragon Magic, Draconic Knowledge gives a bonus to your Knowledge checks for each draconic feat you have.

If you have Dragon Magic, take a level of Dragonfire Adept, choosing the Draconic Knowledge invocation for +6 to all Knowledge and Spellcraft checks and LETTING YOU MAKE UNTRAINED CHECKS. If you have enough knowledge skill boosts from other sources, it's like getting Bardic Knowledge in addition to everything else. :)

Draconic Knowledge works well with this, as does Draconic Aura (Insight).

I actually statted up a character using rules from Arcana Evolved who maxed out Knowledge skills a while ago - a mohj akashic 4 / dragonfire adept 3. He didn't focus on skill points (although he had quite a few with his high Int); instead he focused on increasing his bonus to Knowledge skills in general. At 7th level, he had +16 on any Knowledge checks he didn't have ranks in (and could still make checks on those subjects), and could reach a maximum of +30 in Knowledge skills he had maxed out. And this is without any magic items, and ignoring the akashic abilities of +2 to skill checks twice per day and Delve Into Collective Memory. If he did get any intelligence-boosting items, of course, he would get twice the increase to his Knowledge skills due to the 2nd level akashic ability...I considered using the rules for evolved levels from AE, and taking levels in the Intelligence Evolution class from the AE supplement Transcendence, but that just seemed unneccessary.

Oh, and to actually answer the original question:

You present a 5th level wizard with (+6 Int modifier) + (8 ranks) + (1 from trait) = +15 bonus

If this character takes Dragonfire Adept for level 6 (hey, breathing fire at will is cool) and takes Draconic Aura (Insight) as his level 6 feat, that increases his Knowledge bonus (assuming no antimagic field) by +7, so maxed out Knoweldge skills would be
(6 Int)+(9 ranks)+(1 trait)+(6 invocation)+(1 aura) = +23
He could also make untrained skill checks at +14 if he didn't have any ranks in the subject.

At level 7, the bonus from the aura scales up to +2, giving +25 to maxed out skills and +15 to untrained skills. Unless your 7th level is in akashic, in which case you double the Int bonus and so reach a bonus of +31 for maxed out skills and +21 for untrained skills. (Without the headband, it would be +29 and +19, respectively.) Plus first level akashics gain the ability to add a +2 bonus to any skill check once per day. That would make 2 levels that weren't advancing your spellcasting, but boy would you know a lot. :)

Uh nice with the dragonfire adept with innovation knowledge. It is also weird and cool with the breath fire at will :P

Ups I wrote headbang! That is kind of the opposite :P

2 level of akashic is too much, he still needs to be a decent spellcaster. I found a feat which grants you +2 to all knowledge skills which is also very handy for a guy like him ;P

Thx everyone

If you have more good advice I would be very glad to see more from you.

My anima mage (from Tome of Magic) regularly binds Dantalion, which gives a +8 to all knowledge checks. Not only do I know that vrocks are harmed by good-aligned weapons, have the power to emit spores, and can cast mirror image, I also know the one we're fighting is named Wanda.
