Northlands: Norse Adventures for D&D 2024 and Tales of the Valiant

Epic heroes, larger-than-life magic, and an adventure path from a simple fjord to the halls of Asgard!
Raise your axe, heed the call!

From the storm-forged creators at Kobold Press comes Northlands—a frost-bitten campaign setting for Dungeons & Dragons 2024 and Tales of the Valiant.

Inspired by Norse myth and shadowed by Ragnarok, Northlands delivers epic, rune-driven adventures across any northern realm of giants, gods, and reavers.
This is no ordinary sourcebook—this is a living world of axe-clashing glory, midnight suns, and heroes who defy fate.

The Northlands Worldbook includes: 50+ new monsters, 8 new subclasses, 5 new species, 78 spells, plus new factions, downtime systems & drop-in realms of the frozen lands.
Not to mention expanded rune magic and two enchanted rune swords of note...

The Northlands Sagas adventure book includes: 11 adventures ranging from simple village skirmishes to full-on divine warfare, in a tightly-linked adventure path for levels 1 - 12.

Good question!

The simple answer is the ToV and D&D 2024 versions of the Northland Worldbook both contain the same content - the difference is that each version uses the game stats, terms, etc. appropriate for that game system.

Does that help?
That's what I expected but . . . having the 5E and ToV versions being priced as separate products I find frustrating, since they are very similar.

I'm still deciding on whether to back the Kickstarter, but I think I would've jumped immediately if the PDF tiers simply included both versions of the books.

I'm also a little bummed it doesn't seem you can get the rune deck or stones without first pledging for physical books. My bookshelves are overflowing, I'd love to be able to get the digital versions of the books, but get some cool stones or decks for my game night.
