That sounds really, really fun. I hope you put your notes up on this (errr...translated to English, though I can give a crack at French, but its been years)!

Babelfish helps - I got a few good game scenarios from French websites translated through Babelfish (and the French appear to have some awesome RPGs out there - pity I can't read it!)

As for Kobolds - confuse your players by covering them in fur and giving them tiny goat horns...
