Is that in the Player's Guide? I have the book and it it's in there I must have missed it but is something that I'd be interested in.

Yeah, I think it's in the same chapter as the travelling, disease, etc. stuff. Nobles and rulers gain divine protection based on their rank. It's good to be king!

The Player's Guide is good and it has a lot of optional rules in it. One of which I particullarily liked was where the kings and nobles had divine protection.

The feats are very varied, and all seem to give some more flavour than those from the PhB. Their balance and qualities are a bit more unsteady, though. For instance, there's a feat that gives you a bonus to your saves equal to your Con bonus. Stuff like that.

I didn't think the extra core classes were particullarily well thought out. Some of them are more like variations of the rogue or fighters.

Sorry I don't remember the spells right now...

The campaign sourcebook - very good (I've read somewhere it was written by underpaid russian women, but hey the result is fantastic)...

Kalamar is a lovely campaign. Low magic. Such a shame I never got to play in it...

Atually they're referred to as Variant Classes for that specific reason. They're meant to be an adaptation or a variation of what's available. Why play a fighter who is a gladiator when you can just play a gladiator?

That kind of thing.
