In Korstull and about to meet Gorquith. Anticipating player questions. What's on each of the 9 floors of Castle Korstull? Can they get off the elevator on the other floors?
Questions I have: What floor does the adventure continue on? The lift implies the 9th floor but the text and map say 3rd floor.

This is where I have Clan Millorn supply information to the party. They are targeting the 9th floor since that is where the throne room and the treasury can be found. They will say that the other floors were living quarters and support staff, which have little in value and would take up too much time.

Both parties which have reached this section are under the time crunch before the narrow path through the firestorm would close up. This running clock can help them focus on getting to the top as quickly as possible.

The 9th floor is on the Astral Plane, correct? How did that happen? Did Gorquith put it there? Was it a function of the torch tear?

There are three floors to Castle Korstull. If it helps, think of the lift between the second and third floors as having 9 stages instead of floors. Each stage is where the lift pauses for bad things to happen. The lift and its operation are like an elaborate authentication to get into the third floor.
