[KotOR] mission help (possible spoilers)

When I did this part of the game, I just had each character sneak past the Rancor. I got by just fine and never used the scent...

That was the first thing I tried after a full frontal assault didn't work, but, for some reason, I couldn't sneak past the rancor.

On another spoiler hint, can anybody give me combat tips for fighting the mercenary and his Wookie henchman on the Wookie homeworld?? I just keep getting my butt kicked soundly.

I am playing that section with myself (a Scoundrel/Jedi Guardian specializing in two-handed lightsaber), a Jedi Sentinel (using two lightsabers), and my Wookie buddy (using either two vibroblades or his bowcaster). Any ideas are appreciated- thanks!

Echani Force Shields, Concussion Grenades or stasis fields or force waves on the lesser minions, and Kick Calo Nord's butt as SOON as possible. after you kill him the rest are far easier. You WILL have to try this more than once, likely.

Also, I didn't know (until the final battle of the game) that you can pause the game and shoot up on all the stims & health packs you want to without wasting your action. Very handy!

AACKKK! Are you kidding me? Wow... that might change my game playing style. Seriously, I had no idea (I suppose I should have read the manual more thoroughly..!)

And, Henry, thanks for the strategy tips! I will give that a shot. I think my problem was trying to take out the Wookie guards first, when I should have just focused on Calo Nord instead.

It is funny how combats that seem impossible can be easy with a different approach. Those Wookies went down like nothing when Calo was out of the way.

swoop bike parts

I have the XBox version.

Is there any place to by Swoop Bike upgrades? I've gone to various stores on Tatooine and Manaan, but I don't see anything that would be for the Swoop bike. Can you buy parts and upgrade your bike? When you talk to folks, you find that others buy parts to upgrade their bikes.
