Kryptonite is a naturally occuring ore in the ground, though very rare. It is not exceptionally useful as currency, nor do many people acquire it for it's beauty. What Kryptonite is useful for is that it emits an Anti-Magic Field around it. For every 1/4 lb of Kryptonite possessed, the AMF created has a 5-foot radius, which increases with the size of the chunk
