Kickstarter (KS) Come and Explore Arcanis 5E on Kickstarter…

Arcanis the World of Shattered Empires is back and updated for 5th Edition, with new character options but the same Grim Dark attitude!

Taking its inspiration more from the Ancient World than the European medieval era. Arcanis was originally published in 2001 as a d20 campaign setting. Arcanis has been a critical and commercial success attracting players with to its grim dark world of epic fantasy and now this award-winning setting is being updated to be fully compatible with the 5th Edition of the worlds most popular fantasy RPG.

The 400+ page book will include:

· 19 New Races and sub-races
· New take on base classes such as Fury (Barbarian), Holy Champion (Paladin), Ranger without spell casting, and introducing Elder and Eldritch Sorcerer Traditions.
· New classes such as the Psion and Shaman.
· 12 new Clerical Aspects and a new take on Domains.
· 13 New Holy Champion (Paladin) Orders.
· Dozens of new Archetypes such as the Tactician (Fighter), the Bard (Rogue), and the Warped ne (Fury)
· Over 50 new Spells
· Skills and Feats including new Combat Schools
· New and unique Psionic system
· New Fame and Renown system for Allegiances and Secret Societies
· New weapons, armor, equipment, magic items and monsters.

The Arcanis Campaign Setting is an immersive world of epic battles, where the most dangerous adversary is not some mythical creature, but your fellow being. It is not a world of stark black and whites, but rather a spectrum of grays where heroes have their flaws and even the most devilish of villains have virtues. This is also reflected in the world’s religious structure where the gods are arranged in Pantheons, being neither inherently good or evil. It is the religions created by mortals that choose what aspects of the gods are worshipped and whether these are good or evil is determined by each cultures’ values.

The Arcanis 5E RPG Kickstarter campaign runs until Saturday 22nd April.

Last night we blew through the Disciples of Heresy PDF Stretch Goal, unlocking that Kickstarter Exclusive product! Thank you!

It also means that we can now offer a couple of new Add Ons:

The first is the Print copy of Disciples of Heresy. This print copy WILL NOT be available later during the Backer Kit phase, so if you want it, now's the time to get it.

The other new Add On is a PDF only product. The Inquisitors and the Knightly Order of the Phoenix Combo PDF for $10, including three Inquisitor Archetypes, one for Cleric, Fighter, and Psion.

Check the link for details and don't forget tonight is our second Kickstarter LIVE stream. We'll be there at 9pm EST to answer your questions about Arcanis, the Kickstarter and anything else you'd like to discuss.

I played Arcanis at GenCon in 2011 and had a great time. Now looking at this KS really makes me want to play again. I really need a guide of what books go with what version of the games. There are a lot of Arcanis books out there and I am not sure what goes wit what rule system.

One looks like a d20 3rd ed, one its own system with d6,d8, etc as stats, and now a 5e edition. Where do I start as a GM? The 5e will not be here til next year, if the KS stays on schedule.

Hello Nitehood,

If you want to play using the 5E compatible ruleset, then all that's available right now is the free downloadable Arcanis 5E Primer and over a dozen free adventures. However, the Kickstarter to publish the full rule set has a few days left and with all the Stretch Goals unlocked thus far, it's a great time to jump on.

Which PDFs are in the fifty dollar level?

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

There are two $50 pledges. One gets you a physical and a PDF copy of the book and that's it.
The other $50 pledge is all PDFs, including the following:
- Core book
- Sorcerous Pacts
- Blessed Lands region sourcebook
- Disciples of Heresy lorebook with adventures
- digital version of Arcanis specific DM screen
- 18 old d20 books including lore and adventures from the setting.

That second $50 pledge is basically the core book plus the d20 archive plus all unlocked stretch goals, and there will likely be at least one more stretch goal unlocked before the campaign ends (Codex of the Mind, more stuff about/for psionics).
There are also two $10 PDF add-ons you could get at the moment (not included in the $50 pledge): a hi-res, street-level detail map of the First City in the Blessed Lands; and a player's options/lore set of inquisitor archetypes and a secret knightly order.
