(KS) Manual of Mythology, Fae, Deities & Shamanism

A new supplement, for Pathfinder and d20 system games that uses mythology and lore to provide players, and GM's, new options for playing deities, faeries, and shaman.

This book will use actual mythology and folklore to help you understand the world of deities, fairies, and magic from a time when people gossiped about encountering the magical world the way we might discuss encountering a celebrity.

With this book the GM will be able to create new rich adventures, and NPC’s for the characters to overcome, meet, and befriend. PC's will also be given more ways to interact with the world in which they play, through new options, and ways of thinking of their surroundings.

In addition to helping you expand the worlds in which you already play, this book can help you to develop your own world. Either way, this book will be different from most Manuals and Guides, because it will use quotes from actual myths and tales to explain the different creatures within.

Ancient peoples believed that nearly everything had a cause that the fortunes and misfortunes, and even the strange behaviors of humanity occurred because of magical creatures that inhabited everything. Known by many names these faeries, fey, good folk, spirits, etc would help inspire artists, cause cows to grow ill, or make winter come early.

Information on Shamans and Witches

This book will provide the information you need to play witches as shamans.

According to the Winkleman, every society had traditions that were related to shamanistic ideas. The Benandanti of Italy would ride animal spirits into the other world to battle evil beings that sought to steal their crops. In England there were people who would send their souls out of their bodies in the form of wolves, and in ancient Greece there were men who would become possessed by nymphs in order to gain magical powers.

Details on Fairies and their Kin

Ancient peoples believed that nearly everything had a cause that the fortunes and misfortunes, and even the strange behaviors of humanity occurred because of magical creatures that inhabited everything. Known by many names these faeries, fey, good folk, spirits, etc would help inspire artists, cause cows to grow ill, or make winter come early. Within RPG worlds these the fey exist as magical creatures both as part of the world of mortals and as part of their own world, one which extends through the cosmos to touch all planes. Hugely important to all magical worlds the fairies have been little touched on in the world of RPG's, until now.

This book will include a monster manual and guide to playing dozens of different fairies.

Details on Deities

This book will integrate the true mythology surrounding deities into your role playing game, making it easier to include deities as PCs and NPCs in your game.

Cosmology of the Other Worlds in Mythology

In mythology and lore the other worlds were all around us, such that a person could step off the hunting path or walk around a larger tree three times and find themselves in the spirit worlds. This book will break down some of the more interesting cosmologies from mythology.

Manual of Mythology, Fae, Deities, & Shamanism – d20 RPGS from Ty Hulse is live on Kickstarter until Wednesday 21st February 2018.
