Anyone going to KublaCon in the Bay Area this year?

Our group of 6 or 7 will be there on Saturday 5/26 and Sunday 5/27. We'd like to meetup with other EN Worlders.

Also, with GenCon SoCal gone and our group unable to fly to GenCon, are there any other big conventions on the West Coast? We probably won't make it to many other than KublaCon, but we'd like to see what's available. We've been to ConQuests before; we'll be at ConQuest Sacramento for sure.

How have other EN World meetups gone? Do you guys do anything special to arrange a meetup ahead of time?

Asking again as the event draws 'near'.

Anyone else have plans to go?

We just got back from ConQuest Sac yesterday and had a great time. Hopefully KublaCon is good too. We went last year, but the shuffler system was horrible, so we're going to stick with the RPGA this year.

I was thinking about it, but leaning towards probably not (because I am planning on going to Gen Con Indy this year, and I need to save $). I'm still officially "undecided"; if I see some cool event(s), I might go one or two days.

What's the shuffler system?

You asked about other West Coast Cons; there's Dundracon (San Ramon, Presidents' Day weekend in February), and they have a ConQuest SF over Labor Day weekend. There are also several cons outside of CA, too, but I don't know any off the top of my head.

I went to Dundracon a couple of years ago; it was fun, though I wasn't fond of their event lottery system. It made it difficult to get into games with the people I went up with.
