Aureus shrugs. She's still nervous. Aureus smiles and heads over the dais and into the room to check area and items for traps, eager to be away from the scorpion. She moves through the room carefully and takes her time. She spends most of her time looking at the chest. She can tell its locked, which isn't surprising, but she isn't sure about whether it is trapped or not. She looks at the silver trinket box, as well. She is pretty sure it isn't trapped, but, again, she's not certain. She inspects the open barrel and finds that its bottom is filled with tarnished gold and silver coins that are covered in moss and a bit of mould. She holds her hands over her sensitive nose. "I don't want those that much," she says. She moves to the door and looks it over carefully. She cannot sense any traps on it, but she's not that intersted in getting it open. She's rather check out the other double doors instead. She moves back to the trinket box and picks it up off the floor after taking a deep breath. Nothing happens. She sighs in relief. She takes out her tools and sits down on the floor and tries to open the box. She uses her delicate touch to click the box open. "Yes!" she opens it and finds that it two scrolls, a potion, and two gems inside. One of the gems look very nice while the other one is a lot more simple. She tucks the scrolls under arms. She let the others look them over. She puts gems and potion into a spare pouch and clicks the box shut. While it is tarnished, it could be worth more if cleaned. She puts the box down and heads over to the chest. Its lock looks very well made and quite complicated. She risks putting the scrolls on top of it and studies the lock for several minutes. Then, she tries to tackle the lock... hopeful that it isn't trapped. She struggles in vain to open the chest. She gets frustrated and growls at it. Her lockpick gets stuck in the lock for several minutes, and she just barely gets it out. She's certain it isn't trapped. If it was, she'd have sprung the trap. She picks up the scrolls and trinket box and heads back out into the courtyard to see if she can help the others get open the iron doors.
