Kung Fu Panda

OK, the existence of this film sort of crept up on me, so forgive me for asking, but is this thread like one of those Onion News Network segments that feature a panel of people being deadpan serious about something patently absurd?

Nope, the movie was awesome.

Very fun movie. Not as good as Iron Man, which is still the best movie I've seen so far in 2008. On par with Hulk & Prince Caspian. Better than Indy.

Reminded me a bit of Shrek.

I think I enjoyed it more than all the other movies I've seen this summer, including Iron Man.

Iron Man was probably the "better" film but Kung Fu Panda was just so much fun.

That's a pretty good description. I'd probably rank the summer movies the same way, personally (though I liked Indy more than a lot of people it seems).

Y'know, as much as I loved the movie as it is, I think it would actually have been even better if it had entirely been done in this 2D style. The world needs some good 2D animation movies again.

Yeah that animation was very cool. Very "Samurai Jack", but even better.

Saw this a while back, but forgot to post about it.

Simply fantastic movie -- I looooved it. And so did my cousins, who I brought as my ostensible reason for seeing a kids' movie (not that I ever need an excuse). Good for kids, good for adults, just all-around high-quality movie. A+.
