Castles & Crusades Castle Zagyg: Dark Chateau Now Available

LITTLE ROCK, AR – November 14, 2005 – Troll Lord Games announced today that the Castles & Crusades® adventure module Dark Chateau is available for immediate shipping. Dark Chateau is the latest offering from the acclaimed adventure writer Rob Kuntz and serves as a prelude to the forth coming Castle Zagyg Dungeon Adventures by Gary Gygax and Rob Kuntz.

Long before the Archmagi Zagyg moved into the deeps of the great castle that came to bare his name, he took up his dwelling in a house north of the fledgling town of Yggsburgh. The house there he built of stone, and around it a great fence. Here he hid himself away, nestled in the deeps of the Menhir Hills. But in time Zagyg moved into his great abode to the south and the Chateau was far from his thoughts and fell into disuse and ruin. The abandoned Chateau became home to strange apparitions and creatures. Tales recount that the Chateau still holds treasures and magic, left there by the mis-spent youth of that legendary mage!

Dark Chateau is fully compatible with Gary Gygax’s Castle Zagyg: Yggsburgh adventure and campaign setting. It comes complete with illustrations by Peter Bradley and maps by Jason Walton. It is an adventure module for 3-6 characters of 1st - 3rd level and designed for the Castles & Crusades® Role Playing Game.

Bailed might be too harsh. Lots of things happen to folks and making their commitments isn't as easy as others think it should be. Rob and I had our differences, but I'm not one to let such things stand in the way. Rob and I sat back and enjoyed a good laugh at the Lake Geneva Game Convention last year.

So, don't give it another thought. I will say that DC is the best adventure he's ever written and very, very good. It is a classic in the making. Easy to integrate into your game, easy to run, well written and structured, balanced and doesn't leave you hanging at the end. It wraps up nice. I strongly recommend this adventure to any and everyone. Even d20 players, you'll find it very easy to convert.

Glad to hear it. For all his difficulties, Rob is a true creative genius and a respected name in the origins of the game we all love. I wish you guys the best with this one!!!
