L2: The Dragon's Maw (Erekose13 judging)

As Merlis was given the cold shoulder by the elvish mage he took a step away from the enchanter and dodged out of the path of other elf's frantic search for something in his pack.

~Perhaps I should have stayed at the Inn a bit longer...~

[sblock=ooc]Just freeing myself up for any other conversation since J5 hasn't been with us in a few days..:)[/sblock]

upon hearing valan speak however he brightens up and nods enthusiastically. "KERMIS GOOD AT CLIMBING. KERMIS CLIMB BIG ROCKS ....AND TREES...AND..""KERMIS CLIMB GOOD."

Excellent, before we leave we may need to pick up some supplies first, ropes and such.

"Climbing? Why would I want to do that? Isn't that for apes and monkeys? I mean, really. That's a trick question, innit?"

*blink* Aazwen's visage suddenly goes wide-eyed. "Ohhhh...cliiimmmbbiiinngg, yes, yes. Of course, I can climb like someone that climbs frequently. Certainly. I also have rope, somewhere.""I had some. Honestly,""Honestly. I. I have a grrr...appling hook, too."

Very good Valan moves over to the elf calmly and slowly like one might approuch a skittish thing. Once close he says The rope is on your back. (Assuming the elf spins to check) Valan blocks the ropes spin so it lays over the sholder. See! How much rope do you have?

Valan looks at Merlis and motions to one of the remaining stacks. And you? ...Merlis, How are your skills when it comes to spelunking?

Waving away taking more than his fair share of the advance, Merlis looked down at his threadbare and nearly empty backpack before speaking.

"To be honest, I have never been much of a climber. While the gods saw fit to keep my mind strong and sharp, they neglected to grant me the same in physical attributes. I am sure that I can grasp the concept quickly though and with any luck there will be a pully system that the brigand used to speed up his access."

[sblock=OOC]Merlis took his share of the coins in the beginning of post #27.[/sblock]

Throran jerks his head up and glances around. His eyes seem to glaze over as he recounts the last few minuets to himself "Merlis, if you wish to peruse my spells, i'm sure you would learn a lot. as for climbing, i would sugesst we bring much rope."

[sblock=ooc] out of town the last few days with spotty i-net access. but i'm back now :P[/sblock]

As the Throran addressed him, Merlis smiled simply at the pride the elf felt in his art.

"To be honest when I was training with my master, I could never convince myself of the usefulness of beguiling spells, or those of the necromantic paths. I found my true passion to be in the protective spells and hold a high respect for the divination spells also."

[sblock=Question]Since we haven't officially started the XP part of things, is it too late for me to swap Extend Spell for the Academy Graduate [Background] Feat? I would like to shape Merlis in such a way to pick up Mordrue's Lore [General] when I can. If it is too late, I totally understand, but wanted to ask.[/sblock]

Smiling at the ernormeous compliment that azwhen just gave him about being as strong as five horses. Kermis makes a mental note to keep his eye on the little elf in case he gets into trouble. he would obviously need help defending himself. Kermis smiles broadly and punches his chest to acknolwdege the compliment.

looking over at the little gnome he asks "KERMIS STRONG. YOU WANT KERMIS CARRY?"
he asks in total seriousness not wanting the gnome to be left behind becaue he cant climp well.

Smiling at the simple, yet sincere offer, Merlis looked towards the large human.

"While there may come a time that I have to accept your kind offer good Kermis, let us hope for now that it does not come to that. But I do agree that we will need more rope and other gear suited to the potential task at hand. If there is cave visiting to be done, we will need lighting unless you all prefer the feel of stubbed toes."

Answer [sblock] All we're given the chance to change their first feat to Graduate, the same should go for you, just tell the judges.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOG]Yes you can change your feat selection to take advantage of new items that we create for LEW. Provided your DM doesnt mind you can take it now, if there is an issue you can change it after this adventure. I don't think that LiquidBlue will have a problem this early in the game though.[/sblock]
