Welcome to the gang, guys! :)

You'll find your judge outfits at the batcave, after the usual (mostly non-scarring) initiation rites.

the new dragon magazine has this:

"Player's Handbook 3 Debut: The Monk
The monk is complete, and now D&D Insiders can get an exclusive look at the results of all the playtest feedback we’ve received since the class was first showcased last spring."

A month from dragon 381 releasing does the monk become legal? It isn't playtest, and it isn't preview, it's debut...

I fairly certain all "pre-release" material isn't fair game.

I'm not interested in playing a monk.

Thought it important to clarify for the new word.

Playtest, Preview, and Debut (in the case that it is a pre-release), are not fair game then.

We know whats really going on Cabanna. You're just testing the waters to see how many people really want to play monks. That way when PH3 comes out and you unveil you're new Hybrid Monk/Wizard multiclass Assassin its still unique. ;)

I'm not interested in monks either. I am interested in their "Monk unarmed strike" ability, so I may have to run around killing monks until one drops the unarmed strike so Rujah can use his claws and fangs instead of a hammer. ;)

My master plan is broken now!

NO! ScorpiusRisk!!!!

I believe according to Wizards, the "debut" articles aren't pre-release, they're the first official release.

In practice, I don't believe for a minute they won't be extensively errata'd before the hardcover comes out, which is why I voted to exclude them. (You're welcome to make a proposal to change that, of course.)

Speaking of errata, new ones are up: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/UpdateNov2009.pdf

They changed the format so it's harder to find things, but easier to read them once you find them. I'm annoyed that they don't include the date of "old updates" anymore, so if I miss an update I'll never notice.

I heard that double weapons have been changed a lot. Haven't checked it out myself, but we may want to revisit the ruling on that.
