This is why I originally thought that it only applied when the ranged creature was performed an action that could provoke an OA from an ally, or possibly even another enemy.
For example, if FH hits an enemy that is out in the open, by itself, then a simple move that doesn' t pass adjacent to anyone, or a ranged attack from its current spot should not provoke the Fire Hawk.
If he moves past another creature, or if he shifts nex to another creature and fires a shot, then the Fire Hawk attacks.
This nerfs the power quite a bit, but I wonder if this was not the intent of the power from the beginning.
I agree, that, as a player, I like the pain in the @$$ version better though

. And if it's agreed upon here, you can bet that I'll take the power with any druid I make.
