[L5R d10] How to determine speed?

Hi folks,

I know this isn't a d20 question, but I fear every L5R board I know is dying or overtaken by CCG fans. So if any of you can help me here, I'd be very grateful

How is moving speed, and max moving speed per round, determined in L5R d10 (1st or 2nd doesn't matter)? They mention destroyed legs reduce normal movement to 1/4 in the GM's Survival Guide, but there isn't an explanation on base speed anywhere I can see.

Great to know I'm not the only Rokugan fan left Check out tsuruchi.com--they have a pretty active forum there. Mostly CCG stuff, but there is a place for RPG questions. I think it's somehow based on your Water Ring, but I can't remember the calculation at the moment.
