hi i'm converting some old PCs, and one of them is a bullywug. they're in the Monsters of faerun book, but that book doesn't list the level adjustment. anyone know what that is, or can guess well enough?
WotCily (i.e., "hobgoblins are LA +1"), I would say +2 for their natural armor and excellent Con, as well as Swim speed.
Personally, I would reduce it to +1, for their massive penalties in all mental stats, their slow walking speed, and their inhability to be efficient clerics.
Wisdom affects Sense Motive (anti-feint), Listen & Spot, Int affects Search and Decipher Script, Cha affects Use Magic Device, Bluff (feint) and all social skills.
It's a big hit for a rogue, who is reduced to be a flanking warrior without all these perks.
as originally rolled, his stats would have been Str 14, Dex 15, Con 10, Int 12, Wis 13, Cha 13. he was created using the 2E Humanoids handbook, which gave him +1 Dex and -1 Int and Cha. i would swap those adjustments for the current 3E MoF adjustments, which would be +6 Con and -4 to Int Wis & Cha. ouch yeah, that would be a big hit, but dem's the breaks.
ok, finally got to converting this PC. i decided not to monkey with the stats, and left them as he had it in 2E. think i should still go with LA +1 or +2?
I'll hop this over to Rules so you don't have to try and see through the frog of war in General Discussion. Anyways, this is probably where such a question should go; I'm fibbian if I toad you otherwise.
