Lands of the Orcs

Orcs are a quarrelsome and disagreeable race. They don't naturally want to form large groups or stable long-term kingdoms. The largest permanent group they can stand before fissioning off into subgroups is the clan. <Snipped the awesomeness ;)>
Wow, all that is like exactly from the campaign I was referring to earlier. Now I don't need to find most of my notes anymore. I'll post the list of tribe-names later today and there are some personas in that file too.

Cool, glad to be able to help.

There are only so many ways to arrange a culture within the boundaries of the environment it inhabits. At least when we're dealing with humanoids. I basically just pulled elements from cultures most proper to the climate and the basic disposition of the orc. Then fleshed it out with bits from how many neolithic to early bronze age cultures interacted. Then drew the religious aspects from comparable human cultures.

Hah! You ran the same thought-train I did when I penned that campaign a couple of years ago. Strange to see someone writing down my own thoughts. Sort of an enlightening experience.
