"Larry Elmore Draws Your Character" Contest

Your stats are monumental. Your achievements, legendary. You've amassed an impressive array of weapons, artifacts, and magical treasure through the spoils of your adventures, each adorned on your person both as a spectacle for casual passersby, and a warning to those who would choose to cross swords with you. Your reputation precedes you. Creatures of the dark tremble in fear at the mere whisper of your name, bards sing the tales of your epic escapades, aristocracy lavish you with accolades, and the people of the realms raise their collective voices in praise! Now, if only your character could have a portrait befitting his legacy, to herald his image in the annals of adventuring history!

Fear not, for your prayers have been heard and, if fortune continues to smile upon you, answered!

Imagine the envy oozing from your gaming peers when you show off your new "character portrait" rendered by world-renowned fantasy artist Larry Elmore!

Recognized for breathing vivid life into fantasy icons from the worlds of Dragonlance, Dungeons & Dragons, and Sovereign Stone, Larry Elmore's exquisite pen and brush strokes have captured the strength and virtue of heroes, the majesty of dragons, the enduring beauty of Goddesses, the awe and spectacle of wizards, the devious cunning of rogues, and the horrors spawned by nightmare. His fantasy imagery has graced a slew of magazine, novel, and gaming module covers, and now his illustrative prowess and visionary brilliance will be applied to your own, personal character concept!

1st Place: Color full body illustration (finished size 8.5" x 11")
2nd Place: B&W full body illustration (finished size 8.5" x 11")
5 Runner Up Winners: The Elmore Character Clip Art & Color Customizing Studio CD

After winners are chosen, 1st and 2nd place winners will be required to submit a copy of their standard character sheet, plus up to 250 words describing their character. The illustration will incorporate as many of the character's items, and as much of the description as Larry Elmore deems necessary.

Why is the competition only open to US/Canadian residents.

You know there's a whole world of roleplayers out there.

Too right!

Don't forget we Brits/Europeans as well as our OZ friends, its just simply not sporting to forget us. :(

The only thing I really wish for is that the contest could be available to non-subscribers, but I understand the mentality. :)

I've yet to see a single issue of GTM anywhere near me.

In the U.S. it is required that contests be available to all residents. The entry form will certainly be available on a web site as well as in the magazine.

To My Friends Overseas...

dvvega and Neo, (And even Upper Krust)

While I would love to include everyone in our contests it is cost prohibitive to do so.

I am trying to come up with a way to include you or even to have contests just for the overseas (Europe anyway) fans.

Thanks for your patience,
