Partway through it now; this looks really good, Ari. Congrats.

Minor grammar nitpick: the gray advice boxes sometimes jump between using "We" and using "I."

Heh..very cool Ari. Looking forward to reading more in-depth.:)

Side note- WHY O WHY??? does WOTC continue to use this adventure/encounter format?? It's awful! I really wish they would use the KOTS format.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 3.5 iteration of this adventure, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what Ari did in this conversion.

I was disappointed by the first Scales of War adventure (poor use of a few very high level monsters instead of following 4E encounter philosophy of more monsters each of appropriate level). But this adventure set in Ashenport looks really good. I still need to read it again more carefully, but it seems really evocative of the right mood. I'm looking forward to running it later when I have players at 8th level.

Congratulations Ari

I really like this scenario and I plan on throwing it to my players (at least one of which is a Lovecraft fan) once they get to 8th level

Looks interesting! ;)

There's always a but:
But it appears at some point Ari didn't get out of the 3E speak and says "if the PC fails his save". Unless he is always speaking about the fact that you can get a save after being damaged, and not about the initial attack. ;)

Maybe alternative words could be "If X has succumbed to the Calling" or "if X has resisted the Calling", or "the Calling overcomes (or fails to overcome) the character."
