Last Day To ENter The ENnies Has Passed

ColonelHardisson

What? Me Worry?
Howdy! I thought I'd let everyone know that today, Friday, May 30th, is the last day for publishers to notify us that they are entering the ENnies. Product can arrive after today; we just need your notice of intent to enter by the end of today. So get crackin' if you haven't already! :)

Right after the judges dig out from under the mountain of material they have to read. :)

Probably about a week before GenCon. Mid-July. Morrus can correct me if he stops by.

The final list is in, and the turnout is the best so far. Over 50 publishers (and that doesn't even start to include fan-based materials and websites) have entered.

Statuettes are being crafted as we speak. We'll have two awards (a gold and a silver) for each category due to pretty extensive publisher demand that runners-up get something too. We'll have all of the completed statuettes actually at the ceremony, so winners will be able to go home with them there and then.

I'm in the process of arranging for various people to present different awards. If any of you have any ideas for presenters, please let me know. The only caveat is that we can't have someone presenting an award which they might be nominated in! So far we have James Mathe of RPGNow, Eric Noah and the Ambient kids (youngest designers in the industry) presenting awards.

With some publishers submitting multiple works, how in the world are the judges going to be able to read through and compare the dozens of books they've got? Seems like a hefty job, have y'all considered moving the submission deadline back for next year?

EDIT: I'm not criticizing, I'm sympathizing. :)

Good reading!
