Latest FAQ update

In the legal world (as opposed to the world of rules-lawyers), off hand comments that are buried in the answer for another question are just opinions. They can be used for persuasion, but aren't considered "law".

But he doesn't say that this a rule change, it's just an off-hand comment that is buried in an answer for another question.

Unfortunately for me, I play in the Living Greyhawk world, not the legal world.

For Living Greyhawk, the FAQ is considered errata for the core rulebooks, and we have to use everything in the main faq.

I have been one of the Sage's strongest supporters, but off-hand rule changes like this have become more frequent of late. This one happens to affect my 14th level LG character that I have been playing for the last 4 years, so I'm a little annoyed.

It's usually the people who have tailored a specific (possibly overpowered) tactic to their character and find it doesn't work they way they thought that get all pissy.
I'm a DM and I don't whine about my NPCs whose tactics don't work anymore. I whine about rule clarifications that worsen existing problems (TWF with armour spikes and twohanded weapons is a real bad thing since it makes the already strongest fighting style even better and nullifies the last advantages of the TWF style). Or rule clarifications that disagree with clear and logical rules and should be called rules changes. See Overrun.

And I don't like your tone, Mr., since you insult people while missing the point of the criticism posted in this thread. A sarcastic smiley might have been good. :D

Well, "Endur Stonehelm" is retired from LG, and thus, I am saved from the FAQ. :)
