IMHO the Grick is a very good one

If the paintjob is anything like on that picture it'll be one cool miniature.

The main problems I've seen with the paintjobs haven't been in the detail compared to the master, but rather in the colour of the paint - often it's duller as the black plastic shows through somewhat.

I think the Grick will look great even with a slightly duller paintjob.

And it's a common! Wow!

I've had trouble with paintjobs on faces, particularly for smalls. I'm not even sure I have a single halfling or gnome with a proper face -- some don't even have eyes! (Hmm, maybe that could be used in a campaign -- the Village of the Eyeless Halflings! creeeepy!)

BTW, how do we know the grick is common? Are they only previewing common minis?

At the moment, they are only previewing common minis. (The preview article is named Chaotic, Common and Evil, the one before was Lawful, Common and Evil)
