Leadership feat changes: NEED HELP FAST!

Training followers

Followers never gain XP, so leveling them is impossible. What are you going to do with 15+ first level wizards?

Well, when you get more high level followers, we don't assume new ones are gotten. We advance the lower levels ones. I've always used PC classes for followers and no problems have ever happened. Just as long as the followers make sense for the PC is all I care about.

If they don't ever level, then what's the point of having them? It's hardly realistic that they are incapable of advancement, isn't it? Where does it say in the rules that they can't advance?

I see no problem with just letting your followers be from different npc classes.

If you want magic users use adepts. If you wanna remain close to the original rule, just allow the higher level followers to branch out from the commoner/warrior path.

Also it makes sense that you should be able to attract commoners similar to yourself.

so for a wizard/sorcerer/cleric - Adepts are perfect.

In Traps & Treachery, there is a nice NPC class that isn't to terribly strong, to focus on a rogues thug liek skills. Though the expert also makes a good npc subsitute for skills.
