Not currently, no. You can get it as part of a hybrid ranger (which isn't approved, and likely not to be [playtesting material isn't ready for prime time]) but you don't get the ritual if I recall and the beast takes penalties to attack. Unlike the other forms of multiclass, the beast doesn't really grant you much unless you do power-swaps.
I was thinking about it for the griffin rider paragon path.

Is it just me or should the warhorse have about 150lbs more normal carrying capacity? As is, a standard knight (200-250lbs) in shining armor (50lbs) puts it at heavy load before it even gets its own armor. What ever happened to the heavy warhorse? The difference is obvious in the movie "the 13th warrior" between a riding horse and a heavy warhorse. The warhorse is almost twice the size overall. For that matter the whole weight chart is off in the AV. They have a triceritops at 325lbs for normal load? What a joke.

Once I'm finished my L4W adventure I'll be running Khyber's Harvest over here unless someone beats me to it.

I was debating on it, but decided to go with another addie. Are you going to run it at a lower level or beef it up for 4th level?

Vertexx in 4e carrying capacity was simplified to 10x STR score (which I'm sure you're well aware of) so apparently the triceratops has a 32.5 str, not realistic, but maybe neither is a hobgoblin riding a triceratops into battle against a half-orc realistic either

Maybe realism isn't an issue, but consistency may be. The other dinosaurs sorry, behemoths have Str in the low twenties.

Are there prices anywhere for mount tac (saddles, bridles, reins, saddlebags, etc.) beside magic? Because a saddle that allows a character to actually fight mounted shouldn't cost 680g. I put a couple items from quintessential up for review that were immediately shot down, because they let a mount actually be effective in the game as something other than a taxi/wall-o-meat.

I'll probably beef it up unless there is actually a lower level party around when I'm ready to run it (still a few months out possibly). Its not hard to just increase the levels of all the critters by a couple.

All mounts come with basic equipment, including a saddle (AV 14); you take penalties if you choose not to use them. AV 14 is also where barding is included.

As for the carrying weight: Yeah, Its a bit wonky. I myself wouldn't worry about it for a single ridder.

Well, let's be fair. I shot them down because they did what established magic items do at a fraction of the cost or they just didn't make sense as is. Example: How do blinders NOT effect a mounts perception but gives saves vs things they see and hear?

If you feel otherwise, feel free to rebut my reply to your proposal.

Quick question on proposals.
The 3 month waiting period is in effect correct?
And on the list of approved Dragon magazines are article specific right?

Actually I thought it was decided a 1 month waiting period?

Yes to the second question, although feel free to post either other articles from the issue or the whole thing.
