I've been looking at Divine Power, and I am so much doing an overhaul at River once it has been accepted! I want to try the pacifist healer concept. I was already going that way in the style (as he use only holy symbols power, he doesn't carry a weapon).

I too will overhaul when DP becomes approved. Valahad has the avenger MC feat from PHBII. If it's allowed he'll take the one from divine power as well as a power or two and the ardent strike option instead of lay on hands.. I'm building him a semi striker. Renau gave me permission for it already... :D

Hello everyone, just wanted to say hi and to present myself here. I've been playing over the wotc boards for some time but I found myself wanting to stay with a character through his carreer instead of just playing adventures here and there with different characters.

I was going to make a character in L4W when someone invited me over here (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) and I decided to start here instead.

After all, and with the death of FR, Eberron seems to be the place to learn about nowadays, and that's what I expect to do in here.

For characters I've got 2 interests, a feylock and an avenger, both from house Orien, though the avenger needs some material from the Divine book. For now I'm trying to defeat my reluctance to use the character templates you guys use and fill in the characters I've already made with the CB :D [sblock=CB Version]====== Created Using Wizards of the Coast D&D Character Builder ======

Is there any reason why the character template here is different from the one in L4W?

At least in my pc the sheet from L4W looks much better than the one you guys are using here. I'm still half way done with my sheet ... damn it takes a ton of time to make one :(

I agree, the L4W is better looking sheet. But the LEB sheet is a bit more flexible. For example, on a L4W sheet, you cannot put a power with an effect before and an effect after the hit, as written in the PHB. One of my character have such a power and I had to write down only line for Effect and specify that which effect was before the hit and which was after the hit.

There are reasons, mainly in the fact that the L4W sheet is not easily expandable. For example, it would be difficult to do summonable creatures w/ their sheet as it is currently. The block itself is also more similar to a statblock, which makes for easier reading

There are plenty of people that can help you out if you ask. :) Try here: Character Building

Seems I finally have the math down. Now I just need to write the background (that for the first time in my life is going to be the easy part of creating a character) :P

Hello all. May I come aboard? Many, if not all, I've seen from L4W.

I've looked at the info for creating a character. Is the only big difference between the character sheets between the LEB an L4W just the information on the top (summary stuff). Everything else looks pretty much the same to me. Am I missing something?

It looks as if the list of characters in the character link is already heavy in the striker and defender department. Can we squeeze in one more? :)

Hey, dimsdale!

The bit as the top of the sheet is the most different. Some slight difference in rules as well (acceptable sources, higher level, different parcel system).

If you create a striker, you'll be waiting awhile for a leader. only 2 IIRC correctly and the second is leaving for an addy soon.

Got it

I was toying with playing a cleric.
It's out of my comfort zone, but I need to test new waters anyway.

I'll try to have him ready as quick as I can.
