I want a character sheet that's as big as those checks that Ed McMahan sends out for publisher's clearinghouse.

QFT. My eyes are still pretty good (at age 41), but I have some players in their 50s and 60s, who really have a hard time with the tiny type on some character sheets.

Back on topic...I can't say that I've ever seen a legal-sized D&D character sheet...many 3E sheets wind up being 4-page affairs to fit all the stuff, instead.

Before the millenium, we created our own character sheets using legal-sized papers. We used manila folders or case portfolios that has clips on the top for two punched holes.

Nowadays, we just use slim half-inch wide binders (for letter-sized sheets).

Here, based on the PHB sheet.

threadjack question: why "legal"? I mean, why is the page size called "legal"? I get "letter", that's the size used for letters. But why "legal"? What's so legal about it, who said it was the legal size and where?

BTW, I'm for using A4. It's what I'm used to. :)
