Land mines? Really? From a war that Richard doesn't have any reason to know about because he grew up on the other side of the veil?

I laughed when that sister exploded because the whole thing was so absurd.

Oh yeah, the land mines were really silly. They don't exactly feel like they fit the setting, and of course naturally the writers had to copy ever war movie ever by having Nicci step on one and give us the usual procedure of trying to avoid the mine go off.
