Yes, we know a dimetrodon isn’t technically a dinosaur, being a Permian-era synapsid that existed 60 million years before the first dinosaurs, and the muhuru on the cover is a mythological monster from the legends of Kenya that is described very similarly, even though the first dimetrodon fossils found outside North America weren’t discovered until 2001 and that was in Germany, and there are actually like TWENTY kinds of dimetrodon and they were actually considered mammal-like reptiles because of their teeth and they were probably warm-blooded and… this probably sounds like your nephew breathlessly talking about their favorite dinosaurs and yes that was me in the 70s and no I don’t care that dimetrodon wasn’t really a dinosaur, because just like Pluto is always a planet to me, this guy will always have a home in my personal dinosaur land!
