I have foung this: HD is inconclusive, the eagle gets +11 but the ape gets +9 and the wolf gets +14...

The speed is a bit funny also I think climbing speeds decreas flying increse and walking stay the same

Stats, now I like stats 'cos theres a patteren a creature has
+4 +15 +4 +2 +6 to spend, inless your a snake.

I think the key lies in the advancement rules, but I'm not entirely sure...yet...

I'm sure WotC would never willy nill add stuf to animals and call it a creature.
