oops..one small mistake

I gave him a Feat at 5th level, but he wouldn't actually get it unitl 6th level.
No Big Deal since it is "Far Shot" and he doesn't use it until The Two Towers from the look things, although he does make some pretty long range shots in Moria- they could just be at the edge of his normal bow range ;)
He would have 'gone up a level' then, after going into Moria, the orignal Dungeon crall and then killing a bunch of Uruk-hai later on too!
I'll change his 'stat block' above.

I don't have "Masters of Arms" yet, but he could probably still become a "Bow Master" at 6th level and still take 'Far Shot'.
or By stick with tEoM he would still get it at 6th level Paladin.

glad to see positive feedback on this,
I think it is a great product and plan on replacing the Core magic system with it in my Next Campaign.

Shouldn't this discussion wait a week or two so you can include all the goodies they give him in part 2? There was a preview on some station last week where he mounted the horse Gimli was already mounted on in an unusual fashion.

That was an awesome scene!!!!
I drooled for an hour, sorry kids daddy is happy!

I wanna see the feat that allows him to effectively use an arrow as a piercing melee weapon, only to turn around and fire it from his bow the next round. (Later in the same round?)

"He stabs him with the arrow, then he shoots him...! HE SHOOTS HIM!!!" - Igor

That one's easy - 3E already has rules for using an arrow as a melee weapon, for 1d2 damage, and at a -4 penalty to hit.

Legolas had no other weapon handy at that second, pulled a stunt, and was rewarded with a critical hit. :D

This is very much one of those kind of stunts one of your players pull against all odds, and when it works you tells stories in your group about it for YEARS.

He also needs Arrow Stab (I forget what book this is in, maybe Swashbucklers)? And an ability to see about 30 leagues away, heh.

"Crebines from Dunland!" - Legolas.

ARRRGH! Don't do this you make me want to buy a PDF---

Nooooo......

Seriously though if I can get my players to use it it looks great and like a solution to some game troubles I have
