Hey, I was just joking. I like the title. I wish all titles were like that. It is short and accurately describes the topic. Speaking of which, let's get back to it.

What I find interesting isn't the existance of lesbian vampire sorceresses - I mean, that's just a matter of statistics. It's the fact that the designers of this Dragon Earth setting felt the need to point it out. :o

Waiiiiiiit, What about the paladin?

I don't get why the paladin gave up on his quest. So they are jewish/buddhist. So? They are still, like minions of the undead (and depending on the setting, sorceress can be as bad). So they have lotsa friends. Doesn't the paladin have any? So Holy Symbols don't work. What about stakes? Swords? I mean, what kind of paladin is -that-?

"Well, they are evil beings and all, but kinda tough. I'll pass."

They first found out about each other through the Dragon Earth version of ENWorld.

So... in your fantasy world... lesbian vampire sorceresses play 3e D&D?

being a lesbian, a vampire, and/or a sorceress and the three will gang up and give the schlub tons of grief.

two are observant Jews (special dispensation) and the third is Buddhist.

the American is a 7th grade English teacher, the Russian is a ballet instructor, while the Kenyan is an archeopaleontologist.

Maybe he had a high enough Wisdom to realize they weren't evil beings, that maybe the rules were different in this other plane, based on all the evidence. Or, barring that, maybe he at least had a high enough Wisdom to realize that a plane where his god(dess) has no dominion, with powerful undead who have powerful allies, is, in fact, exactly the sort of place you want to withdraw with honor from - at least until he has had time to become much more powerful and prepared.

For a Paladin to throw away his life in a fight weighted that far against him, without good reason, when that life could be spent fighting evils he IS capable of eradicating, is an act of stupidity, and possibly even evil (Vanity and Pride). So he took on a "world of evil" and got crushed "valiantly" - now who is going to defend his village back in his world?
