Level 23 Halfling Wizard-Roque, Battle Mage, Mythic Shadow

I've updated Lenny here to add a Rogue Cross-Class and the Mythic Shadow Epic Destiny. This really helped flesh poor Lenny out, and I think he'd be much more survivable now.

Last weekend my wife and I ran Lenny through an encounter with a Hydra and a couple Hook Horrors. The first time we did this, things did not go well for Lenny at all - he managed to bloody all three of them, but was soon surrounded and it did not end well. We tried it again, and this time Lenny was much more tactically adept, using the Wall of Ice and Fly to keep the monsters at bay while attacking from range. I suspect that a future battle against them would be no challenge: the ability to become invisible with a minor action would make it nearly impossible for the monsters to hit him.

Oh, I used the Epic Destiny from the Epic Destinies in D&D 3.5 Dragon article, pretty much as they were written. I figure the Epic Destiny will have a couple "Class Features" at 21, which corresponds to the powers listed.

Nice one! And I think quite simple compared to high level 3E (and what about the spells you got in BECMI at 36th: 9/9/9/9/9/9/9/9/9).The feats are a bit to keep track of but IMO appear difficult because they are not optimised to the character and quite random.

And, FadedC, ROFL!

I'm running a 22nd-level one-shot later this weekend. It's entirely possible to make high level characters, if you're not squeamish about making up powers. I'll probably post a write-up after the fact. It was a lot of fun to create the PCs, but creating the monsters was even easier. Which just goes to show that the hype is right: the DMs job is a lot easier. I spent at least twice as long making the PCs as I did preparing the DM side.

Oh, that sounds like it'll be fun. Please, if you can, post your made up powers in the creations thread :).
