Level 9 rogue feat choice

I'm having a tough choice on the feat to choose at level 9. I have rapid shot, so i was thinking Imp Rapid Shot. Or I could take a level in fighter to get 2 feats, Martial Study and Martial Stance (the invisability one and Assassins Stance).

I'm a ranged Rogue so getting rid of the -2 from rapid shot would be nice. But +2d6 sneak attack is nice with the Greater Invis for 1 round per incounter.

Why not just multiclass into Swordsage, then? Level 9 is the perfect level to do so. You have to pick a 1st level stance at level 1, so you could get child of shadow or island of blades or perhaps a different discipline's stance altogether. If you're using Rapid Shot and barely moving during combat, a Stone Dragon stance might be useful. You could use the feat at 9 to get Assassin's Stance, or IMO more preferable: use the feat for Adaptive Style to recover/swap your readied maneuvers in one round and just get Assassin's Stance at Swordsage 2.

As an alternative feat option, there's one in PH2 that I can't remember the name of that lets you ready an action to shoot someone immediately after he's struck in melee, catching him flatfooted. You couldn't Rapid Shot with it (though you can ready a Manyshot), but sometimes getting SA damage might be worth losing a full attack.

You are playing a single-class rogue right? Then, by max-out UMD skill, you can use Wand of Greater Invisibility (or, maybe Wand of Swift Invisibility) relatively easily. So, I do not recommend you to multiclass just for becoming invisible.

By the way, what is your ranged weapon of choice and what other feats do you have?

1 lv of swordsage offers a lot more than just becoming invisible.

You can nab counter charge for defense, zephyr dance for that extra AC, mind over body and moment of perfect mind for aiding in your fort/will saves (though you will need to really pump concentration for this, so it may or may not be worth it). Cloak of deception is always nice, as is shadow jaunt for getting out of a tight situation.:)

Do you have Precise Shot?
If so, get DeadEye Shot (PH2) to get more ranged sneak attacks....

Also, try to get your hands on anything (wand? ring?) that allows you to use the spell 'Sniper's Shot' (SC), which effectively removes the range restricion on sneak attack....
