Okay, I need to get more involved with pen and paper D&D.

I haven't actually rolled any 4th Edition dice without it being me cobbling together the pre-release rules. (or playing in a pre-release Delve with Mike Mearls.) Invisible castle isn't the same.

So, given my falling out of contact with my old gaming group , having issues with starting up a 4e group, and my wife refusing to play 4e, I want to try Living Forgotten Realms.

How does one start, assuming I have no friends to game with now?

I am on Long Island, NY, willing to travel within Nassau or Suffolk COunty,. not really willing to go to NYC.

Anyone have suggestions?

DCI & RPGA Rankings and Ratings

A list of RPGA events in your metro area. Dates and locations, not times. Contact info is there to find out what times the games are being run.

Let me know if you can't open that page by posting here. I'll put in some of the events in a post.

If you are in NY, your region is Cormyr. You could join the LFR Northeast Regions yahoo group and see if there are any local games going on in your area.

The link below will get you to a Wiki that has a lot of information, points of contacts, and links.
