(LHHS) The Light Hearted Hack n' Slash Game (III)

Again Brawn speaks without a lizardman accent, "That's too bad, Jayle - all holy warriors should be respected.
When a city gets too big to know its own people.... well, there's a saying about that in my tribe, but it uses scents, so you wouldn't understand.

But I will try to look for you when I go back to my people - you would like it there, I'm sure.

Now where is this food and warm bed I was promised?

DM's going to make an assumption to push the story along: Everyone's headed to sleep.

Everyone has their own room, a small white walled, white sheeted, comfortable, almost modern looking bed. A thick blanket hangs on the wall, a different pattern in every room, made by weaving some unfamiliar and very smooth fabric back and forth in almost random patterns of white and red.

Over the course of the night, nothing interferes with anyone's rest. Nothing important that is. Now the next day begins, and everyone's once again free to make their choices about what to do for breakfast. A few places that are serving: The Pilgrim's Inn (A few copper), The Barracks (Free, if they permit you), an up-scale restaurant on a well decorated and festive foriegn quarter called Yamato (they serve strange exotic Yamato cuisine, for breakfast, a few gold pieces), Downstairs inside this church they serve a quaint breakfast for the clergy (as your not in poverty, it would be frowned upon if you didn't make an offering, but technically the meal is free).

There are also a few street vendors, selling exotic meat breaded and fried on straight wooden sticks, and unfamiliar fluffy curled pink clouds. (A few copper)

Krindor wakes up and stretches. Seeing that he didn't really do anything hard yesterday, she decides that some exercising will be good before breakfast.
She collects her equipment but doesn't don her armor, and heads outside. Getting there, she puts her equipment to a pile, only taking her shield and sword, and goes through combat maneuvers, working up a sweat.

When she finishes, strands of her golden hair have gotten loose from the ponytail they were tied in, plastering on her face. She wipes them off and returns her sword to its scabbard and ties her shield to her backpack.
With her items in order, she heads to the church's mesh room. She donates two silver pieces as a payment for the meal and says a prayer to the bretonian pantheon.

Krindor, your training and experience has been rather fast paced since you have come to the city. The trip here was physically taxing, the trials of diplomacy and intrigue have been mentally taxing. The Breton Pantheon respects actions like those that you have taken, and your devotion to your position and righteous charge as a Knight makes you a canidate for further advancement.

After your breakfast, a young male knight approaches you from behind, and accosts you with a letter from the Impressario. It is very simply titles with your name. The letter is on a fine white paper, and penned in normal ink, written in Proper Allimize (A tongue of Common).

The unopened letter appears to be full of paper.

Krindor thanks the knight and gives him a warm smile. She returns the used dishes to the kitchen and gives her thanks to the chef.
She then heads outside to find a bench to sit on before opening the letter.

The letter contains a small pile of bank notes in Denominations of 50 Golden Suns. Also a short note is enclosed with instructions,

Lady Krindor,

This is your portion of the reward money. These bank notes are the same as real coinage, I know this is hard to understand. Take these bills, and if you please, you can cash them at the exchange for golden pies. The gold we mint in Allimon is called a Sun, in case there was any confusion as to how much the reward ended up being per ally. I split the money between the entire group evenly, despite the fact that only four of you were involved in the incident below. I suspect the rest of your friends have enough respect for you, not to be upset by a slightly lesser share of the reward money. Enjoy it.

The Impressario

After making sense of the letter, you tally up the small pile of bills, and find that you are in posession of 40 Bank Notes, each worth 50 gold pieces. This is worth 2000 gold pieces, if the included letter is true.

Khala wakes up and after giving off a mighty stretch and yawn, gathers his stuff and heads to the church for whatever the church offers donating 3 silver for the meal.

The church's breakfast is rather plain, something called yellow toast with powdered sweetening and tree-vinegar (which is very sweet). It's served with some kind of bird eggs, and a very filling heavy brown milk.

The table is one large ring, with many different types of clergy and aids eating alongside the outside. The few that refuse to eat eggs (or the bread for that matter) suffice on whater and a rather rigourously prepared salad in a thin oil based dressing.

The ring is open at a single point, inside is a smaller ring, covered in a large variety of breads and rolls made from local grains. Many of the clerics seem to favor this bread over the taste of the sweet and thick yellow bread.

Alright, everyone, I originally planned on having a long lunch, with a great deal of interaction and possible conflict build-up, but it seems like I'm going to have to skip it to stay 'on track' with my long-term goals with this game. So, I guess I'm just going to have to handle my rewards now.

Everyone
1200 Experience Points Gained
2000 Gold Piece Bank Note

Now, some of you also 'earned' these bonuses due to my feelings on your play.

*Note that I have not OK'd these feats for general selection, however, I am awarding them as follows.

Khelon

This is a bonus feat that you have earned. It comes from Relics and Rituals 2.

Healer's Benediction [Miracle]
By expending a turn undead attempt while casting any cure spell, you may maximize the result of a number of dice of healing potential from that spell equal to your charisma modifier. For example a cleric with a +2 charisma modifier maximizes the first two dice of any cure spell.

Krindor

Your weapon being a gift of itself is sufficient for now, however I currently feel that you are within the rights to be awarded virtues or knighthood depending on the path you choose to take. Anything else will come out through play.

Mak

Mak has definitely composed the mental state required to unlock some Impish secrets. I am granting you the ability to cast Charm Person 1/day at the same rate as your other spell-likes.

Khala

You recieve a letter penned in the secret dialect of elvish that is associated to the dark elves. The letter's source is unlisted, however, it is rather simple...

Take this ring with you, make good use of it. You do not know me yet, but you soon will, I am of the Telvanni. This is my offering to recruit you into our cause, take it with my care, and join us. I will find you when the time comes, until then, watch your back and choose your friends lightly. Times are changing, and the Telvanni are going to come out on top.

It also contains instructions and descriptions for the ring. The ring is a Ring of Wizardry 1, but it is limited to Dark-Elf use. It is a Dunmer Ring, by name.
