A bit of flavor from my Traveller campaign:

Green Label said:
A canned alcoholic beverage produced by a subsidiary of the Makhidkarun megacorporation. Green Label, the most popular brand of bumbo, is a lightly carbonated mix of rum, water, sugar, citrus juice, cinnamon and nutmeg. It is popular among spacefarers in the Aramis subsector of the Spinward Marches. The drink is packaged in an iconic green can.

Probably the worst/ most devious I've encountered was the FSA (Follicle Support Agency), which started spraying hair growth serum into the planetary water supply by flying over reservoirs.

The FSA's new hairdressing salon cartel 'flourished' and it became quite the fashion to have elaborate hairdos and braids - until a lack of adequate maintenance lead to the release of a x10 dose into the capital city's main reservoir. Combs have never sold so well.

Sounds like the work of some Suerat practical jokers.

It's Traveller; what else is the evil corporation putting in this tasty beverage?
The evil megacorporation is too interested in debating thousand year old trade regulations with Imperial authorities and playing out intricate nine thousand year old Vilani etiquette games with the nobility to worry about putting anything in a customer's drinks.

The little people of the Imperium? Who?

God bless Traveller!

I have been trying to get my old gang to start it up again with the Mongoose release, but it just won't fly. They all have families and jobs and and mortgages and stuff!

My group, which is burdened by all the same stuff, only plays games via message board now, for that reason. Bad if you want action-packed games, but good for more roleplay-intensive ones.

I have been joining them out of town via Skype to play D&D but they are looking into using WebEx so more than one can join in when they can't make it to a regular game. The WebEx could turn into a completely video conference based game, so there's hope.
