Looks like some interesting critters! When I first heard about this book, I was a bit skeptical of the monsters, since it seems that they've done every possible undead concept twice over, but they actually found a few niches that hadn't been touched yet. Best of all, the visage is back! As a huge fan of the Epic-Level Handbook, I'm thrilled to see the atropal scion.

interesting... appears to be no conversions or reprintings unlike the draconomicon... i'll have to have a look at it. :)

The visage is a conversion, isn't it? (I could've sworn we just spend alot of time converting it. ;) )

It looks like it will have some rehash, mostly templates from Savage Species (which I didn't list in the previous post). I know that the ghoul, mummy, and wight templates are in there.

Additionally, from the "10 Reasons Why a DM Should Get Libris Mortis" arcticle...

Variant Template Abilities for Undead: Ghosts, liches, skeletons, vampires, and zombies all get alternate sets of abilities to keep your book-memorizing players on their toes. For example, vicious skeletons gain mindless pleasure from disemboweling opponents with their oversized claws, psychic vampires attack Wisdom instead of Constitution, and hunter zombies track by scent.

d'oh! is that the same good ol' undead demon?

dang WotC, stealing everything we convert. :D

It's great to see that Orcus has his archetypal servants back! I wonder if they'll recognize their boss, what with the new look and taking back his old name and all. ;)

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Dream Vestige the same Vestige from Return to the Tomb of Horrors in The City That Waits? (The Vestige there was a powerful monster that made even Acererak shudder, so I hope that is it.)
