I've been invited to run a brief (2 or so hour) Microlite 20 game for some semi-gamer friends at a party.
There'll be about 6-8 players. Some are familiar with the game, some are not. I've decided to run a scenario wherein they are playing 10 year old kids who have been dropped off in front of the "Wizard School". They all want to get "over the wall, across the garden and to the front doors". Each one who gets there, will be accepted as a student.
I'm looking for fun, brief challenges, in the nature of "how do you all climb the 20' high wall?"
I'm thinking for a 2 hour session, I want 4-6 of these "skill challenge" type things. They could be combat related, but should always have a non-kill success option. In other words, if challenged by the man-eating plant, they need to either kill it, or somehow convince it to let them by uneaten. How could they do this?
I'm more interested in team challenges than things they can overcome solo.
All suggestions gladly taken! I'll try to report back in mid January with what happened at the game...
