Limiting signature displays

Is there any way to limit how much of a poster's signature is displayed?

I know that you can turn them off entirely, but a lot of them have quite witty aphorisms or useful little links. Some signatures, however, are just too long. I'd love to have a way to limit the display to just 3 or 5 lines or so. Enough to read the good quotes, but have the excessive ones automatically trimmed.

Or maybe modify the "ignore" feature so you can ignore a poster's sig. That would be fine, too.

If I recall correctly, the current setting is that a given user's sig only shows up once per page. That still isn't doing it for you?

Unlike at WotC, if you feel a signature is too long report it to a moderator. If they concur, the owner will be asked to reduce it's size.

The maximum acceptable size for signatures folks is about 6 character lines in normal font.

@Umbran: No. Infrequent posters with large sigs- no problem. A few people post quite often, and you see the same sig over and over again. I don't expect to make many reports, but it is nice to know there is a rule governing the issue.
