Well, fortunately, no player has been interested in taking the feat, so far. I'm not very fond of the feat to begin with and especially not in a group that already consists of nine players (!).
Interestingly, we didn't use followers/cohorts in earlier editions of (A)D&D, either.
The thrallherd prestige class from XPH is npc-only in my campaign, btw. This one's insane!
