Mounted combat with goblins atop giant boars, Saurus lizardmen[complete with ceratopian skull helms] and a min maxed balrog with spiked chain [ok, no spikes] the new Legend of zelda game looks awsome.

I hope the game gives as much freedom of exploration as the NES original, not the hand-holding far too many games have. The GTA games have set a new bar for freedom for video games. Also i do not want another wait half an hour to get to the real gameplay. No goddamn 'go here, listen to NPC talk, go here, listen to NPC talk, get shield, go here, listen to NPC talk, go here, listen to NPC talk, get sword, listen to NPC talk, go here, listen to NPC talk, go to this dungeon"

If i want to walk into the second to last dungeon, the game should not be stopping me. The traps and the monsters should be killing me, but at least let me case the joint before a Darkknut cuts me down.

You've seen the teaser movie, right? Extremely awesome stuff.

The big problem is a cultural one, though. Games like GTA confuse Japanese gamers, apparently, who like to be given a fairly clear-cut goal, and prompted for it. That's why many Japanese games spend so much time spelling out your goals.

I agree, though, that it gets fairly tiresome to have to sit through a 'prettied-up' in-game tutorial. Otherwise. this might happen:

You just decribed the more recent Final Fantasy games to a T. :p

If it is in the same ballpark quality wise as Ocarina of Time, I'll probably pick up a GameCube for this title alone...

i grabbed a cube for this one and Resident evil 0,1, and 4

x-box next for San andreas [if custom soundtrax are in], Fable, doom 3 and call of cthulhu.

last I heard an andreas is still PS2 exclusive has that changed? Not that big of a deal for me since I have all the main machines, but xbox is my prefered system.

Well, sadly the game is still being delayed in to 2006 & there is talk of "upgrading" the game to Revolution. Which will likly lead to large chunks of gameplay & freedom being taken out to make the graphical upgrade quicker.[See Soul Reaver 2 for a prime example of this]

Yeah, it's out. My housemate with the X-Box has been playing it.

If you're talking about Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, then it doesn't seem likely it's going to be upgraded for the Revolution. This question has been asked dozens of times now (I'm exaggerating only a little here), and Nintendo's answer has been consistent and unwavering: it will be a GameCube game.

Rock on, I was getting tired of the child-like Link. It's about time he turns into a teenager. Now we just need to finally kill Ganon (or Ganondorf).

I am considering getting a GameCube for this game, Resident Evil, and a few older action games (Metroid, Mario Kart). I really hope they don't push it forward to the newer console, since I probably won't buy it for years.
